In primary healthcare, roadblocks exist in the form of interoperability difficulties, low-level tech adoption, lack of standard decision trees, and little utilization of data collection and insights.
All of these contribute to a fractured continuum of care. The effect is more pronounced in remote areas that are hard to access. Historically, health coverage of maternal, neonatal, and child health services has been observed to be low. Consequently, there are gaps in recording and reporting services provided. As a result, when there are difficulties in measuring current service coverage efforts, the efforts to improve them also prove to be hamstrung.
Argusoft configured MEDplat and implemented a bespoke solution TeCHO+, that plugged these gaps. TeCHO+ is used in Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child and Adolescent Health. Its primary use in quick data collection that leverages user-friendly forms. TeCHO+ offers rich customization abilities to forms. Further, these forms come with an inbuild triaging logic that can skip and branch based on user inputs.
When it comes to health coverage, the platform can be used to trigger service reminders (alerts) to the field health worker. This is especially helpful in Antenatal Care (ANC), Postnatal Care (PNC) and Child Vaccination dates.
A web interface ably complements the mobile interface of TeCHO+. This interface finds a variety of use cases at different hierarchies. Its features allow tracking work done at different programs, monitoring the status of training programs, etc. The Admin module, too, is feature-rich, enabling effective user management, roles, assignments, changes in positions, incentive calculations, etc.
